The Fireside tradition started in Slamdance '99 as a way for filmmakers to meet with other filmmakers and industry figures in an informal setting. Panelists include festival directors, producers, executives, musicians, distributors, technology gurus and other movers and shakers in indie filmmaking. A decade later, we've had over two hundred speakers, and we’re pleased to offer in honor of our 15th Anniversary an expanded slate of Fireside Chats on a variety of issues. Everyone is welcome to participate – there is no admission fee – so come and learn about important topics in independent film today, may it be cutting edge technology, to talking about the new developments in alternative distribution. Slamdance thanks Steve Montal, Fireside Chat Panel Coordinator, for moderating and developing the chat program for over ten years!
