Oscar, a 12-year-old from the Nicaraguan Barrios, funds his trips to the local video game parlor by stealing change from under his parents’ bed. But when the latest video game system arrives to his town, Oscar finds work in the streets in the hopes of buying his own.

Gorgeous and quietly humorous, The Little Thief is a perfect representation of childhood desire, and a fascinating look at poverty, social class, and morality.

Nicely shot and acted. The best short I've seen here at Slamdance.
